When they finally meet again Cairn woos her, gets to know the real Savannah and draws her out of her shell. The passion that ignited between them that first night rekindles and they struggle to make this heat between them work.

This is an interesting short story with a very fast pace. Savannah and Cairn’s relationship is well fleshed out – though the other subplots seem to race along very quickly in the background. While I feel the book could have done with a bit more detail and a slower pace, it’s easy to get caught up in Savannah and Cairn and the magic surrounding them. Both are clearly meant to be and love each other almost from their first meeting, but there are a number of obstacles they both need to conquer before they can get their happy ending.

This is a fun, quick read with a fair bit of spice and magic, excellent for one of those times when you don’t have long to indulge in a bigger story.
