Can a bastard and a whore find love in each other’s arms?

The fabulous writing team of Emily Minton and Shelley Springfield outdid themselves once again with this novella. I really enjoyed this third chapter in the Grim Bastards MC. Guilty Bastard is a fleeting slice of life that leads up to Smoke’s book. I absolutely loved it and was easily captivated by Lisa and Round’s emotional story.

Round is an integral part of the Grim Bastards MC. He is Smoke’s dad and used to be the VP of the club but has since then stepped down so the younger generation can lead the club. He has an ongoing relationship with Lisa who is the club mama. It’s obvious right away that Round is conflicted about their relationship. I didn’t get why he continued hurting Lisa with his guilt over a dead wife who cheated on him. But I loved Lisa and it made great emotional angst for the story. Of course the drama finally came to the point where Round hurt her enough that Lisa got fed up with being a doormat.

This short biker romance was loaded with emotions and strong characters, even Lisa though at times it may not have seemed that way. Let’s just say that those who love to read about the alpha A-Hole heroes will enjoy this one. As usual, with these two authors, the story was entertaining, well written and fast paced. I was so very pleased with this book.
