When Amelia meets Daniel she is immediately drawn to his exotic looks and flamboyant personality. She suspects he’s a guy who know what he wants and gets it. Daniel on the other hand is surprised by Amelia’s lack of exoticness, but that doesn’t seem to stop him being keen to get to know her better – much better. Up-close-and-personal better!

For Art’s Sake isn’t a complex plot. It’s boy meets girl and they have wild sex. But Ms Ku does have a nice voice and her style of writing is easy to read. The story certainly bumps along at a great pace and before long you just know you’re going to get some serious heat burning from your page.

I liked Amelia and was keen to see her get her hands on Daniel, though to be fair his hands were pretty nifty too, bringing her many delighted moments. I enjoyed seeing them go wild for each other and getting to know every detail as they did so.

So why the 3 ½ stars instead of 4? Well, that’s for one line that pushed my ability to suspend disbelief. Things get seriously hot, as a reader I’m panting and whizzing through the pages and then this… ‘the handle of the brush was nearly a foot long and Daniel mercilessly slid it in further and further until the bristles themselves scarcely remained outside of her body’. That line is used during anal play and phew, maybe I’m a prude but a foot long brush up my butt… That just ain’t sexy. Perhaps some people love it, crave it, but not me. I always think it’s a good rule of thumb not to give exact measurements of cocks or sex toys in stories, that way the reader can choose their own size, in their head, everyone is different after all.

But I did enjoy the story and this shouldn’t put potential readers off if erotica is your thing, and I would read more by this author.
