I love the work of Madison Sevier and I long awaited this book. Scarlet is a fascinating character and talk about a few holy cow moments! I also love stories of second chances. This book is no exception.
Kevin is a great hero. He’s the kind of guy I want to read about. Strong and solid, but when he loves, he doesn’t quit. Then there’s Scarlet. She’s quite the woman. I love how she describes herself as a walking catastrophe. How many women see themselves the same way? I related to her and rooted for her.
There are moments that will bring a tear to the eye and others that singe the screen. I’m glad. The breadth of emotion in this story made it a wonderful read. I needed to know what would happen for Kevin and Scarlet and I wasn’t disappointed. If you want heat and heart, then this is the book for you.
