For years, Tracy has lusted after her friend Darin but has never dared act on it until now. She’s always been a little afraid and a lot excited by his dominant tendencies. A dinner invitation quickly turns to more as Darin reveals the desire is mutual—and now Tracy is ready to act on how much she longs to be dominated by him.

Can best friends ever become more? Much more? The type of friends who dominate, submit and bare their souls?

Tracey has lusted over gorgeous Darin for years but all through college they never took their relationship further than hanging out and studying. Now all grown up, single and ready to face the dominant tendencies she suspects lurk just beneath Darin’s surface, she invites him for dinner, hoping to enjoy a nice meal with him and maybe, just maybe, an even nicer dessert!

I liked Tracey and Darin’s story, it was short but hot and the fact that the couple had history made it very real. I could imagine them younger, at college, stealing glances at each other, her doodling his name in the back of her books. The thought of him, a gorgeous guy growing into his dominant role, learning the right way to be with a woman who he’s asked to submit, was also a nice sideline to the book, had it been a longer story, this would have been nice to learn about.

As it was this was a one night novella about what happens when after all those years a couple finally admit to their attraction for each other and address the rules of the D/s relationship. Told from Tracey’s POV Darin is one seriously hot Dom, and he certainly gets it just right for her. The sex is explosive, I adored the dialogue between the characters in the action scenes and the way the author described the setting and the evening was great, I felt quite the voyeur.

Blow out the Candles is a smokin’ hot read that will all but melt your e-reader, perfect for immersing yourself in on your lunch-break or for getting you in the mood at bedtime. I will be looking for more work by this author.
