Tara’s world is anything but normal. Her father is known as the resident crackpot – just because he’s on a personal mission to catch a Sasquatch. Despite all of the “Bigfoot evidence” cluttering their house, Tara never really believed in Bigfoot – until the day her father brought him home.

Is Tara really falling in love with Bigfoot?
Tara’s father, Charlie, has certainly made life interesting for her. His obsession with finding Bigfoot has made them the laughing stock of the town. Charlie is an extremely entertaining character. Not one to use foul language, Charlie has a colorful and eccentric way of expressing himself that never failed to make me smile. Tara indulges her father but even she believes Bigfoot is nothing but a myth. Everything changes when Charlie brings home Joe. Immediately, Tara feels a powerful connection to Joe, but could it really be love?
While this story is primarily a comedy, there is some serious history between Tara, Charlie, and Joe that adds just a bit of weight to Tara’s situation and helps ground the outlandish tale a bit. That being said, Tara and Joe’s relationship progresses at lightening speed. I feel it was a bit much to take, especially considering who or what Joe is. Despite this issue, I was able to put aside my misgivings, and I had fun watching Tara and Joe’s story unfold.
With the media alerted about Joe’s existence, there is quite a bit of suspense surrounding the debut of Bigfoot. The crowd clamoring to see Joe were equal parts curious and hostile. I was completely surprised at how the debut ended, and I also quite enjoyed the twist concerning Joe’s origin.
Beauty & the Bigfoot is quick, fun, and can easily be read in one sitting. I advise readers to put aside their doubts and simply enjoy this comical take on Beauty and the Beast.
