Roped and Tied by Mallary Mitchell |
Jericho Farrell left Wayback for a job
he couldn’t refuse and never looked back. His one regret was leaving Eden
Sawyer behind. All these years, he’s tried to forget her and failed.
Things are looking up for Eden . It’s the best year Sawyer Farms has ever had at the Yellow Rose Rodeo Arena. The only burr under her saddle is calf roper, Jericho Farrell, who’s just come back to town. She’s never forgotten he deserted her, and she’s never told him about his son. ♥ ♥ ♥ This is the first book I’ve read in the Wayback, Texas Series. Each book is written by a different author and deal with different characters in Wayback, Texas. This is the story of Jericho and Eden. Jericho Farrell is a hard hero to like. The book begins with him in a negative light and it’s really hard for him to move to positive. I struggled to like Jericho and to figure out what Eden saw in him. Personally, I would have dumped him for his brother Dylan. Dylan has all the character of a strong Alpha male and one that I would have enjoyed far more. In Jericho’s defense, he does try to change. Eden as the only real female character in the book goes unchallenged as the heroine. I understand most of what she does and agree with her decisions. Roped and Tied is a prefect example of loves rules the heart not the brain, because if the brain ruled, Eden would have packed Jericho off. Ms. Mitchell makes Eden so comfortable in her choice to stick it out with Jericho that as I reader I never questioned it. Dylan and his daughter, Gracie, make up a wonderful secondary cast. Gracie is nothing if not a challenging little girl, one that made me smile often. The other secondary characters are well written and engaging, especially considering the length of the book. Roped and Tied is an ideal quick fall read for those that like a heart rules in love story. |
