Can Syriana put her trust in any of the Tremayne brothers or is one of them responsible for the death of the previous governess? Is the Tremayne Sea Monster simply a Cornish legend or does the creature ply the waters along the coast searching for victims to devour? Who is the handsome, mysterious man who has washed up on the beach? Syriana finds herself drawn to the attractive castaway, not knowing whether he's really a pirate in sheep's clothing. ♥ ♥ ♥ Spellbinding! Josie Okuly lures the reader to the stormy coast of Cornwall where the fog shrouds the world, scary things happen, and wreakers plunder the hapless ships that breakup on the rocks.Ronan’s Embrace is a captivating historical romance that teems with mysteries and legends. Syrianna McCourt, a prim and proper teacher at a young ladies academy, takes a position as governess at Tremayne Castle to escape the predatory head master at the academy. In so doing, she rather much jumps from the frying pan into the fire. She puts no stock in the legends of the Tremayne sea monster and the stone formation called Ronan’s Embrace, but finds herself living part of the centuries-old legend as she struggles to survive. Lorcan, Ronan, and Stanton Tremayne, the three brothers who live at the Tremayne Castle, are not to be missed. The intrigue and machinations associated with them cause Syrianna and her friend Betsy to wonder why they ever came to Tremayne Castle. Ms. Okuly’s well-developed characters propel the reader into a maelstrom of happenings. Some are threatening and scary while others bubble with hope as love blooms for Syrianna and Betsy. Both loves seem impossible, but, my goodness, what good reading to discover what transpires to get us to the happy-ever-after. Highly recommended! |
